If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this website are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on CanadaStartups.org's website and OntarioStartups.org for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. 9. Membership

By accessing OntarioStartups.org/CanadaStartups.org website and affiliated websites offering free and/or paid services, you are accepting both our terms of use/terms and conditions as well as our privacy policy. Our service is to provide small business owners and startup entrepreneurs with an online platform consisting of tools such as the small business startup guide, interactive timeline, business plan builder tool, investor pitchdeck tool and the funding directory.

Important: OntarioStartups.org/CanadaStartups.org does not in any way guarantee any success by using our platform and tools and in no way should the information provided be used to influence your business decisions. We do not provide funding, financing or monetary support. We are not lenders nor investors.

Monthly Subscription Account Holders

As a monthly subscription holder you abide by the same rules as a regular member. Your account is available month by month. If you fail to make your monthly subscription payment, your account will be terminated within 24 hours.

Minimum 6-month commitment required. 30-day notice needed to cancel after the first 6 months. Accounts not paid will continue to be billed. Early cancellation available upon approval with penalty fee. No refunds for already paid months. Accounts delayed 30+ days will result in collection proceedings.

Promotional Memberships

All promotions offered memberships are non-refundable.

Partner Memberships

Partnership memberships are non-refundable and subject to additional terms set forth by OntarioStartups.org/CanadaStartups.org upon agreement. Failing to abide by partnership terms gives OntarioStartups.org/CanadaStartups.org the right to terminate the partnership membership at any time.

Active Memberships

All active memberships are non-refundable and are subject to these terms and conditions. All memberships are 1 year in term and are renewable at approved request.

Renewal Accounts

All renewal account memberships are provided for an additional year of service from the renew date. Failing to renew up to 30 days after your account has expired, the discounted early renewal fee will be void and you will have to register via regular membership fee.

10. Your Account

By registering and paying either a monthly or one-time fee to OntarioStartups.org/CanadaStartups.org you agree to waive all rights to a refund once you've logged in to our platform. Due to the fact that OntarioStartups.org/CanadaStartups.org provides sensitive information which we sell as our service, logging in to our platform and using our services means you will not be allowed to obtain a refund.

We urge that you are familiar with the service and the product offered before your registration and purchase. Prior to registering with a paid account, be sure to speak to our support team to ensure you have all of the information available to make an informed decision.

Once your account has been set up with login details provided and an expert has been chosen, you will no longer be eligible for a refund. Promotional plan registrations are not eligible for a refund. Access to expert help is limited to communication via email, platform support ticket system and the Ask an Expert program. No phone support is provided by an expert.

11. Cancellation / Refund Policy

OntarioStartups.org/CanadaStartups.org does not provide refunds once you have successfully logged in to the platform or used our tools, resources and services. No refunds are provided to members whose accounts have been set up and experts assigned.

30-Day Refund Policy: Available to members who do not log in within the first 30 days with a valid and acceptable reason. If approved, 5% merchant and administrative fees are deducted and non-refundable.

Additional Services: Business plan re-writes, pitchdeck creation, and marketing plan assistance are non-refundable once payment is made and work is contracted.

Monthly Subscriptions: Only cancellable after initial 6 months plus 30-day notice. Attempting to cancel prior to 6 months may result in automatic charges for remaining months.

12. Ultimate Authority

OntarioStartups.org/CanadaStartups.org and its representatives hold ultimate authority. Any inappropriate behavior by members could result in account termination and further action. Any and all acts by members to deface or libel OntarioStartups.org/CanadaStartups.org, our tools, resources and services will result in account termination and further actions.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. OntarioStartups.org/CanadaStartups.org does not provide any funding to individuals or small businesses. We do not provide grants, loans, tax breaks or any monetary value. If you have any questions, please contact us directly.

It is our policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our website.

  • We collect personal information by lawful and fair means and, where appropriate, with knowledge or consent
  • Before collecting information, we identify the purposes for collection
